The majority of the Shiraz is grown by Ian and Lynn Rathjen, Willoughby Bridge Vineyards and also our own Freeman’s Bridge vineyard. Proper farmers, salt of the earth, an understanding of their land and vines. The Heathcote Ridge Vineyard produces some of the most compelling and perfumed Grenache, giving the blend charm and fragrance.

2017 was a long mild growing season which produced Shiraz and Grenache with depth and intensity. Lovely concentration and balance.

Alc/Vol: 14.5%, pH: 3.60, TA: 6.1 g/L

"Rich and Velvety. Blending grenache with a cool-climate shiraz ramps up the red fruit and spice, while lowering tannins. This makes it more food friendly. Deliciously drinkable, it's like a warm, romantic embrace in a glass. DRINK IT WITH pork chops, lamb stir-fries."

Jane Thompson, Taste Magazine, Jun 2020

" Rich, with juicy raspberry puree, kirsch, plum compote and matcha green tea flavours that sing out with a mouthwatering acidity, balanced with firm, chalky, earthy tannins on the finish. Shiraz and Grenache. Drink now through 2030. 90/100.
